The Olympians

Nigeria’s ecstatic coach Samson Siasia said: “It was unbelievable. You just have to look at the scoreboard. We are going for gold.”

The Nigerians, with the inherited experience of six Olympics, pressed the attack and a sustained pressure resulted in the opener. The Belgian defence failed to clear the ball and it fell to Adefemi inside the box and he slotted it underneath the diving Logan Bailly.

The Africans got the all-important second goal after 59 minutes, but they were fortunate as Ogbuke Obasi looked to be offside when Everton’s Victor Anichebe fed him the ball.

The match was put beyond doubt with 18 minutes remaining when Obinna laid off the ball to a rampaging Ogbuke Obasi, who hit a powerful strike from 25m that gave Bailly no chance.

A long-range effort from Okonkwo in the 78th minute added to Belgium’s misery.

Do you have a vision?

In early stages, God given vision is easier to lose; we need to protect it.
The enemy tried to destroy Moses and Jesus before they too reached their second birthday. Why? He feared their future and He fears yours too.

there are certain things you need to do in order to 'deliver' what God had promised.
the call to give birth to a vision means daring to be different, even radical: It means disconnecting from the relationships that can hurt you, staying out of certain places and reordering your priorities according to your God-given destiny.

Like childbirth, it's hard, lonely, sleepless, appetite changing and schedule altering. It also involves pain and stretch marks. So, before we take on God's purpose in our life, ask ourself, "Am i ready to carry this full term?".

Visions aren't for the impatient or the faint of heart.
Esther's vision meant putting her life on the line and saying,"Go gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night and day....If I perish, I perish" (Esther 4:16)
